Canada Post delivered a million parcels a day for 181 consecutive days as online sale rise leads to new records

• Canada Post has revealed a series of statistics from 2020, as the ecommerce boom brings record levels of online deliveries
• From mid-April until the end of the year, the parcel service delivered over 1 million packages a day. In the final 2 weeks before Christmas, 20 million were delivered, 2.4 million on Monday 21st alone, a new record
• Canada Post also revealed that the amount of deliveries from small businesses increased 50% compared to 2019. In October, November and December of 2020, the rate of growth ramped up, 62%, 73% and 85% respectively
