Retail sales rise for 7th straight month as ecommerce fuels growth

• Retail sales rose 1.3% for November of last year, the 7th consecutive month that had seen a rise. The results, released by Statistics Canada, point towards Black Friday sales and early Christmas shopping for the rise that month
• The agency’s statistics showed that ecommerce retail sales rose 75.9% for November, compared to the same time in 2019
• However, experts have warned that the figures for December 2020, which have yet to be released, could be looking at a decrease in sales, with estimations have it by 2.6%
