Monthly retail ecommerce sales in Canada hit CA$2.9 billion as online shopping continues to see growth

Monthly retail ecommerce sales pass CA$2.9 billion following the impact of the pandemic in 2020, with May of last year registering $3.9 billion.
The statistics, which run until September of last year, show that every month after April 2020 surpassed the total ecommerce sales in December of 2019, CA$2.7 billion.
Retail ecommerce registered in sales growth of 12.3% in 2020, but is expected to still grow a further 7.7% this year, marking a larger move to online shopping then just a reaction to the pandemic for consumers.
