- A new report by Scotiabank found that 7 out of 10 small businesses asked said they were confident having survived Covid-19’s second wave and lockdown measures
- A further 4 in 10 said that they were ‘very’ or ‘extremely’ confident for the future. The report saw that many businesses feel far better equipped then prior to this year
- Jason Charlebois, Vice-President of Small Businesses for Scotiabank said that small business had pushed innovation further in the last few months, saying “Small businesses have to be very efficient and effective in terms of how they operate”
- He went on to add “And what the situation has presented them with is the need to really use those attributes to their benefit. In some cases, digital sales and offering their products online, across different industries, has been a very interesting innovation that maybe wouldn’t have happened as quickly without COVID-19. So there’s been a lot of innovation.”
