- Short-form video app Tik Tok has announced it will bring in an option for users to create videos of up to 3 minutes, from the original format of 1 minute at maximum. It has said that this will be introduced in the next few weeks.
- The hugely popular app has seen massive success, with it’s short, snappy videos connecting well with users. Since its launch in 2018, it had limited users to videos of 60 seconds, setting it apart from competitors.
- Tik Tok have highlighted creators who often maker longer content, with product manager Drew Kirchhoff saying “With all the ways our community has redefined expression in under 60 seconds, we’re excited to see how people continue to entertain and inspire with a few more seconds”.
