- Estimates by eMarketer put 2021 to see 7.9 million social buyers in Canada, up a million from 2020, accounting for roughly a quarter of the population above the age of 14.
- A Bazaarvoice survey conducted by Savanta, from December of 2020, showed that Facebook is the most popular choice with adults in Canada for making purchases, holding 24.5%. Instagram and YouTube rounded out the top 3 with 17.1% and 16.5%.
- Tik Tok, having seen a highly successful 2020, had 2.7%. However, the highest result lay with those who either don’t purchase from social media or didn’t know, at 28.4%
