- Loblaws has seen a massive increase in ecommerce, as it rises 280%. From the start of year to the end of July, the company had online sales of C$1.2 billion.
- The amount is across their grocery, pharmacy and apparel platforms. The company have said experts see a continued growth in their ecommerce and our expanding their capacity to handle the increase in demand
- This news comes as the company has seen a slump in adjusted net earnings by 29%. This is due to an increase in spending by Loblaws due to the pandemic
- Despite this, Loblaws have seen an overall increase in revenue this year of 7.4% from the previous year
