Canadian internet users pass 33 million during lockdown

• According to new statistics, more then 33 million Canadians are now online, making the country one of the most online connected nations in the world
• Equating to 92% of the total population, the number has risen steadily over the last few years, with roughly half a million Canadians connecting to the internet for the first time between 2015 and 2019
• The pandemic and resulting lockdown have led to many people turning to the internet to provide services, such as online grocery and other ecommerce shopping, fuelling the rise
