- In findings released by Statistics Canada, the year over year total for June was at an increase of 70.6%, whilst ecommerce sales had yet to drop to below the pre-pandemic levels
- However, when compared to prior months, online retail revenue has dropped 13%, when adjusted for basic seasonal effects
- Overall, ecommerce sales reached C$3.2 billion for the month, making up 5.5% of all retail trade. It had been expected for a bigger fall as brick and mortar stores reopen, as lockdown precautions are lifted.
