- 71% of consumers have found themselves using social media more through 2020 and 2021 then previous years, with the figure reaching 78% and 77% among Generation Z and Millennials. This makes the social media presence of businesses more important then ever.
- In the Sprout Social Index for 2021, both customers and marketers were asked what made a brand best for consumers on social media. Among consumers, 47% placed strong customer service as the main factor, with 46% also looking at engagement.
- Other factors that were placed high were transparency (44%) and a distinct personality (33%). These statistics show a desire from consumers for a brand presence that is prepared to engage with users, whilst also presenting a more human side to the brand.
