- The ecommerce giant is set to once again increase its numbers in Canada as it is looking to hire 3,500 more staff. The numbers will be split across British Columbia and Ontario.
- This comes as one of several expansions by Amazon in the last few months across Canada, especially in Ontario, including three in Ajax, Hamilton and Ottawa.
- Amazon seems not be deterred in the area despite showing sharp competition from ecommerce platform Shopify in recent months. The total money Amazon has now invested in Canada supports their confidence. The company has now spent over CD$11 million and created 67,000 jobs.
