- The last 2 years have seen major changes to the social media landscape, with video content quickly becoming one of the most popular forms for users, with the major social media sites all trying to capitalize.
- Part of this rise is due to the effects of the pandemic, as more people spent time on social media as a result. A HubSpot Blog Survey found that 42% of respondents said that they watch more videos on social media when asked how they use social media differently now as a result of the pandemic.
- The survey also showed more people are looking for uplifting or positive content on social media, as well as real and authentic content, with 34% and 28% respectively.
