- Online sales in Canada rose 72% through 2020, one of the largest eccommerce growth rates in the world, ahead of Australia, China, Germany, Japan and the US. This figure does not include food and catering services.
- In total, online sales made up 6.3% of all retail sales in Canada, a percentage much lower then other nations. However, the rapid growth has Canada projected to overtake many nations in the following years.
- The data, by Group M, has forecast that online sales will grow again next year by 8.3% in Canada as the ecommerce boom continues.
